Ingredients that Work Wonders!
Natural goodness for your skin.
Calendula
stimulates the metabolism of skin cells making it an excellent wound healer. Its antiseptic, antibacterial and anti-fungal properties offer excellent protection for all skin types from minor infections and cold-sores.
As an anti-inflammatory it is highly effective in caring for eczema, psoriasis, minor wounds burns, and bruises, and chafing.
Calendula is rich in vitamin A, CoQ-10, and astringents for
smoother toned skin.
Its antioxidants protect skin cells from free-radical formation, and the effects of exposure to the sun.
Lavender
is known mostly for its relaxing fragrance, but its oils are also used in skin care for their antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties.
It is useful for treating skin ailments such as fungal infections, wounds, burns, sunburns, eczema, acne, insect bites, stings, minor cuts
and irritated skin.
Olive Oil
from the first cold pressing of olives is known as extra virgin olive oil. When used externally in skin care, olive oil rehydrates and
improves elasticity.
With antioxidants including vitamins A, E and polyphenols and chlorophyll, all known for their ability to postpone aging, and repair skin cell membranes, olive oil offers protection to skin cells from free-radical formation.
Olive oil contains squalene which regulates sebum production, reducing the oily appearance
of the skin.
Beeswax
acts as an emollient and humectant which aides in softening and rehydrating skin, and
preventing moisture loss.
With vitamin A which is important for cell regeneration, and it's anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, anti-allergenic, germicidal and antioxidant properties, beeswax offers all-round skin care with breathable, long-lasting protection.
From Our Family Gardens to Your Jar!
Growing organically for three generations!

At Works Wonders we are committed to providing organically grown ingredients from our own family gardens. Our calendula flowers have been grown from our own proprietary heritage seeds dating back three generations. We also grow several types of lavender, including Hydcote and Grosso varieties in our three garden locations, in Vancouver (Dunbar), Midland ON, and in the Gulf Islands.
Each flower is hand picked at its peak and shade dried to retain maximum essential oil content. The flowers are not irradiated. The flowers release their goodness through gentle warming by the sun during the steeping stage of our handcrafting process.
The beeswax in our products has always been supplied through selected local beekeepers in the Lower Mainland. In 2011 we caught the buzz and began beekeeping in Kerrisdale, Vancouver. We will post updates on Twitter for you to follow our progress. Through the sale of our products and special events, we look forward to helping to increase public awareness about these special pollinators.
